SDB Staff and Qualifications:

  • Shop Supervisor: Certificate Weld Inspector with Level II Non-Destructive Testing Certificate
  • Welders: Certified to procedures used on specific jobs - both AWS and ASME
  • Pipefitters: Certified on astro arc welding, tube flaring, and other conventional welding equipment
  • AISC Certified Steel Erector
  • Ironworker fabricators: Versed in all shop equipment, i.e., punches, breaks, cut-off saws, etc. Erection experience includes bridges, dams, building and space launch towers.
  • Painters: Qualified to perform NACE quality preparation and applications.
  • Personnel: 4 to 6 full time craftsmen nucleus with staff of 60 on various projects.
  • Training: All personnel at SDB are union trained.
